Pros Rugged, Build Quality, Cost Cons None Recommended it? Yes The Bottom Line: Estwing offers a terrific value in their E24a Sportsmanfs Axe. Over the years I have owned more tools than I care to remember, some of which no longer reside anywhere near me. Yes, while a few have been stolen, forgotten or otherwise misplaced, many reached their shelf life far too early and probably enjoy life as some recycled or buried entity today. It is, however, those tools that still are in service that I really take pride in and can see being passed on to future generations, like all my Estwing tools. For the most part, my Estwing hammers have really stood out for their sheer build quality and durability, the reason when the opportunity came up to own a nice axe, I chose the Estwing E24a Sportsman Axe.
